Japanese-Hawaiian guy that enjoys programming, gaming, and theology. I try not to be attached to my positions, preferences, and ideas as they are subject to change and grow over time.
Programming
Initially got into it through ActionScript 2.0 way back during the Macromedia Flash days and when Newgrounds was super popular. Got my bachelor’s in Comp Sci, and started doing front-end work before transitioning to the back-end using mostly C# and .NET.
Currently interested in Zig and Go, but I definitely want to tackle more C/C++ as well.
Gaming
Big Nintendo nerd as expected from a 90’s kid: Zelda, Kirby, Pikmin, Donkey Kong, Mario, Smash Bros, although lately I’ve become more interested in game design than actually playing games. My guilty pleasure is Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Theology
I’m sure everyone and their mother enjoys talking/debating theology </joke>
. However, the past 2-3 years or so I’ve been digging deep and questioning what I’ve been taught and what I’ve been saying and striving to grow in wisdom and discernment. Put simply: I’m a Christian (non-denominational), a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and the holy Scriptures referred to as the Bible.
You’d be surprised how many parallels there are between software engineering and theology of the non-ideologically-possessive sort!
